The live action adaptation of the hit anime and manga series Rurouni Kenshin has had a great relationship with Kumamoto prefecture as the film series has given the area much attention as of late, with prefecture Mascot, Kumamon, even visiting the set while filming.
Now, with the scheduled release of the advance tickets for the sequels, Kyoto Taika-hen (Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire) and Densetsu no Saigo-hen (Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend) on May 3, 2014, Kumamoto’s mascot character, Kumamon will be changed into hero Kenshin Himura and villain Makoto Shishio as bonus straps.
The “Kenshinmon” and “Shishiomon” straps will be given away as a bonus to those who will buy the advance tickets to both sequel movies. Each advance ticket set will cost 2,800 yen and will come with one strap.
Buying advance tickets for Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire meanwhile will cost 1,400 yen and will get you this folder
While buying advance tickets for Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend will also cost 1,400 yen and will get you this folder
Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Taika-hen (Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire) will premiere on August 1, 2014 while Rurouni Kenshin: Densetsu no Saigo-hen (Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend) will hit Japanese theaters on September 13, 2014.
