Fans from ASEAN countries will soon be given a chance to learn anime and manga production.
According to Kadokawa, two vocational schools will be built in Singapore and Taiwan this fall. And by 2016, the leading Japanese publisher will establish additional 10 schools in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand.
A total of five courses will be offered: animation, manga, light novel writing, voice acting and character design. All schools will be managed by Kadokawa Contents Academy in Tokyo. Teachers from Japan will be sent to these institutions.

The plans are part of the Cool Japan policy which aims to promote Japanese pop culture.
