Earlier today we told you that Magi’s character designer Toshifumi Akai self-published his own doujinshi and brought it to Comic Market 84 to sell at his doujin booth.,
Well, he’s not the only manga/anime character designer to do that.
Yuuhei Murota, who provided the original character designs and did illustration work on the Love Live! manga series, also went to Comiket 84 with his self-published doujinshi – his very first, actually, according to fans from this Love Live! 2ch thread.
Murota brought 1,000 copies of his black-and-white, 28-paged doujinshi to distribute at Comic Market 84.
Each copy was priced at 500 yen, and attendees were limited to picking up three copies of Murota’s doujinshi per customer. By the second day, August 11, all 1,000 copies were sold out.
A few lucky Comiket 84 attendees who managed to snag a copy of Murota’s first doujinshi posted some shots of its contents on a 2ch thread:
