With Western Japan’s largest anime trade fair, the Kyoto International Manga Anime Festival only a month away, Kodansha has announced that one of today’s hottest and most popular anime will in fact be participating with this September’s event.
The Attack on Titan Exhibit will include the 1/1 scale Colossal Titan balloon head which was previously displayed near the entrance of Kodansha’s headquarters.
The exhibit will take place in Miyako Messe’s 3rd floor from September 7-8 with a general admission fee of 1,000 yen per person. Elementary School children (with parent or guardian) and foreign nationals (must present passport) hjowever can get in for free.
Advanced tickets to the event can be bought in Lawson stores nationwide. A lottery will also be held from August 26-September 6 for those who also want advanced tickets.
The Kyoto International Manga Anime Festival is an annual event celebrating anime. It will be held at Kyoto Kangyo Hall from September 7-8 and will feature anime and manga presentations like the one from Attack on Titan as well as booths from big names like Animate, Gainax, Capcom, Kadokawa, P.A. Works and more.
As part of the city’s PR campaign to promote the event, Kyoto’s subway system is currently in collaboration with several anime series.
