The wait is over. Last week, Shochiku created a temporary site counting down the reveal of a “new amazing heroine”. Besides the obvious mystery surrounding this unknown heroine, the fact that Junichi Sato would be involved also raised curiosity levels.
Who is Junichi Sato, you ask?
Well, for those of you excited about Sailor Moon’s musical, new cosmetic products, and owe your first childhood crush to Tuxedo Mask, then you have Junichi Sato to thank. Not only did he direct Sailor Moon, but he’s also responsible for bringing Sgt. Frog, Kaleido Star, Tamayura, Princess Tutu, Aria, and Umi Monogatari to our lives.

So, he’s a pretty big deal. And his first original work in ten years is here - Zetsumetsu Kigu Shōjo Amazing Twins (Dangerous Destructive Foolish Girls – Amazing Twins).
The official site for the show has unveiled this super heroine as Amane Todoroki. Her character profile tells us that while she is a bit naive, she is honest and takes on every obstacle to her best ability. While little things upset her and she is quite emotional, she says “Even if I am asked ‘Can you do that kind of thing?’ I don’t know. But I want to believe! Because nothing will start if I don’t believe!”
She’s adorable, isn’t she? This OVA will come out next year, so until then keep up on the official website.
