Free! is definitely one of summer’s hottest shows and the huge fan base in itself proves it. The show has gathered tons of screaming fans (mostly female) and the fandom continues to grow.
Well, they better save their squeals for September as the latest issue of Seiyuu Grand Prix magazine features the anime’s main voice cast cosplaying as the characters they are voicing.

Though they may not be wearing any tight speedos on the cover, this issue will still turn a lot of heads most certainly.
Tsubasa Yonaga (as Nagisa), Mamoru Miyano (as Rin), Nobunaga Shimazaki (as Haruka), Daisuke Hirakawa (as Rei) and Tatsuhisa Suzuki (as Makoto) will surely make a lot of the anime’s female fans squeal with this cover which is inspired by one of the anime’s key visuals. This issue of Seiyuu Grand Prix will be released on September.
Ah, I can hear them squealing now.
This won’t be the first time a magazine has done something like this though. Back in 2007, Megami magazine did something rather similar with the main voice cast of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Strikers. Though the voice actresses from that anime did not actually cosplay, they did however pose in the same positions.
In the magazine’s back-to-back cover, Nana Mizuki, Yukari Tamura, Kana Ueda, Chiwa Saito and Mai Nakahara were in the same positions as the characters they are respectively voicing which are Fate Testarossa-Harlaown, Nanoha Takamachi, Hayate Yagami, Subaru Nakajima and Teana Lanster.
