Bandai‘s Soul of Chogokin line has always brought us some nifty high end models and their latest offering, the Soul of Chogokin Space Battleship Yamato 2199 is no exception.
This 425 mm long Space Battleship is made of PVC, ABS and die-cast metal and like all Soul of Chogokin models, is full of details. The production of this model is supervised by Space Battleship Yamato 2199′s director, Hiroshi Izubuchi and is based on the 3D CGI imagery from the anime.
The model also has some gimmicks like LED lights and some sound gimmicks like the sound of the Space Battleship’s engine starting, guns firing, as well as some music from the anime’s official soundtrack. Because of these gimmicks, this model would require four AAA batteries, two for the model itself and two for the remote which is included with the Space Battleship Yamato 2199.
This monster will be released on January 25, 2014 with pre-orders starting soon and it will cost 26,000 yen.
