The president of Sony Computer Entertainment‘s Worldwide Studio’s Shuhei Yoshida was recently asked an online question by user Grand Master Omega what are his top 5 picks for the best RPG’s of all time.
The Worldwide Studios executive answered the question by simply dropping five of the biggest names in RPG. Here are his picks:
Dragon Quest 3 (Dragon Warrior 3)
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy Tactics
Demon’s Souls
Dark Souls
Surprise surprise, Yoshida picks Final Fantasy VII as one of his picks. The game is simply one of the most important in rpg history as it has given JRPG’s the spotlight in the late 90′s and was considered the game with the best graphics at the time of its release.
Remade time and time again, games like Dragon Quest III and Final Fantasy tactics have revolutionized RPG gaming and have been ported and remastered to various consoles and portable gaming devices.
Newer games like Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls however have proven their popularity with exciting and engaging gameplay and beautiful graphics and story lines.
Shuhei Yoshida is one of the biggest names in gaming as far as consoles are concerned as he was involved in the development of the original PlayStation in 1993 as well as being the president of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc’s Worldwide Studios with several big name games under his belt like Socom:US Navy SEALs and Jak & Daxter.
