Doraemon is without a doubt one of Japan’s most highly recognized characters as he has thrilled people of all ages from all over the world. Now, the world-famous blue cat gets featured in 51 different magazines published by Shogakukan.
This is all part of Shogakukan’s tribute to Doraemon late creator Fujiko F. Fujio who will be celebrating his 80th birthday this year. The magazines Doraemon is featured on vary in genres like technology and fashion magazines and of course, manga magazines like the upcoming issue of Monthly Cheese!
Fashion magazine Oggi and information magazine Dime have also featured the futuristic blue cat in their covers as well.
The Fujiko F. Fujio 80th birthday celebrations will also include the release of the upcoming movie, Doraemon Shin: Nobita’s Great Demon ~Peko and the Exploration Party of Five~which will make it’s Japanese premiere this March 8, 2014.
