Spring is almost in the air and from an anime perspective, fans are very excited with the upcoming titles like Date A Live II, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Love Live! 2 and many more. So which upcoming Spring 2014 anime got people most excited about? Japanese anime website Charapedia aimed to find out.
With 10,000 voters, 67.1% of whom are male and 32.9% are female, here are their findings for the 20 most highly anticipated anime for the Spring Anime Season 2014:

With a majority of voters being male, series like Love Live!, Date A Live, and Is the Order a Rabbit? have proven strong contenders for next season’s most highly anticipated titles and from the looks of the results, anime in the harem genre are still going strong.
Anime favorites like Fairy Tail and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure also make it to the top 10, however, it is mildly surprising that Dragon Ball Z Kai and Sgt. Frog rank a bit low on the radar for this season.
But top prize goes to The Irregular at Magic High School or more popularly known as Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. The series based on the extremely popular light novels by Tsutomu Satou have captured the imaginations of many fans who are saying that this series will be 2014′s Sword Art Online or Attack on Titan. While whether this series will reach that sort of popularity is yet to be seen, many fans are confident that this one will be THE anime to watch.

Looks like Jojo has proven to be a powerhouse for both genders as the series has made the top 5 for both male and female surveys. Volleyball anime Haikyu!! has proven to be a strong contender for the females as it features lots of good looking and highly skilled anime guys.
