Several members of the Japanese idol group billed as the “official rival” of AKB48, Nogizaka46, will be appearing in a new TV ad and they will be promoting the Blu-ray/ DVD release of the hit anime movie, Madoka Magica: The Rebellion Story.
This new collaboration will focus on Madoka Magica‘s concept of “In exchange for a wish, you will have to fight”.
There will be five members appearing in the live action Madoka Magica TV Ad and they are Rina Ikoma, Erika Ikuta, Sayuri Matsumura, Mai Shiraishi and Nanase Nishino.
Sayuri Matsumura will be playing the role of Homura Akemi while Mai Shiraishi will be playing Kyouko Sakura. Matsumura admitted that she had her brown hair dyed black just for the role and had fun doing all of Homuhomu’s sword fighting and action scenes. Shiraishi on the other hand also had fun while doing a fight scene against Erika Ikuta’s character.
The Blu-Ray/DVD set for the third Madoka Magica movie is released today, April 2, 2014 which is the same day as the release of Nogizaka46′s latest single titled Kizuitara Kataomoi.
