Official Haikyuu! character rankings released by Takara Tomy yields some surprising results

Haikyuu is without a doubt one of the most popular anime series which was introduced in Spring 2014 and as the anime is gaining popularity (especially among female fans), Takara Tomy has asked fans who is their favorite Haikyuu! character.

 

These results are now final and keep in mind that this is an official popularity poll. There was a total of 560,584 votes for this official poll and here are the results:

10) Yu Nishinoya

9) Hajime Iwaizumi

8) Kiyoko Shimizu

7) Yui Michimiya

6) Ryuunosuke Tanaka

5) Tooru Aikawa

4) Koushi Suguwara

3) Tobio Kageyama

2) Shoyo Hinata

and the #1 ranked most popular Haikyuu character is…

1) The Vice Principal

Wait, WHAT?! The Vice Principal seems to have retained 1st place from the midterm rankings which also featured him on top and with a landslide victory of over 271,000 votes, he is officially Haikyuu’s most popular character… SURPRISE!!!!!

Looks like main character Shoyo Hinata’s 55,652 votes got a bit overwhelmed by Vice Principal’s popularity but he did win by a close margin over teammate and rival Tobio Kageyama.

Well, not really sure if those who voted for Vice Principal are just trolling but the results are now final.

The poll also promotes Takara Tomy’s Haikyuu Volleyball Card Game as well as their other Haikyuu merchandise which include talking posters of Shoyo and Tobio.
