It has recently been reported that Sega and Dengeki Bunko’s popular cross-over fighting game, Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, will be adding four new characters, two of which are playable characters while the other two are supports characters.
If reports are true, Black Bullet’s Rentaro Satomi will only be the third male playable character in a fighting game filled with female fighters as he will be joining Kirito from Sword Art Online and Shizuo Heiwajima from Durarara!. Rentaro is a civil officer in Black Bullet and he will be bringing his Varanium limbs and Varanium bullets into the fight. He is a master martial artist with artificial limbs made of Varanium so expect him to be quite a bruiser when he comes to the fight. He is voiced by Yuuki Kaji who also voices Haruyuki Arita from Accel World, a support character in the game.
Rentaro’s (overly-attached) initiator, Enju Aihara meanwhile will also be joining the fighting game, but only as a support character. This Rabbit-type initiator is known for having lightning-fast reflexes and for also having powerful kicks. Her support move may be a kick using her Varanium boots. She is voiced by Rina Hidaka (Ro Kyu Bu’s Airi and Sword Art Online’s Silica).
The other playable character announced in the report is Strike the Blood’s Yukina Himeragi who is infamous for her now-memetic lines “No Sempai, this is our fight”. Armed with her Schneewalzer lance, she is a force to be reckoned with and is a perfect match for her “Sempai” Kojou Akatsuki. She can also summon shikigamis and she also possesses a monstrous fighting ability unfit for a “normal” middle school girl. She is voiced by Risa Taneda (High School DXD’s Xenovia)
Yukina won’t be able to say her “No Sempai, this is our fight” line without her sempai right? Well, the report also states that Kojou Akatsuki will also be joining the game as a support character. Kojou is the fourth primogenitor and one of the most powerful vampires on the planet. His familiars would certainly wreak havoc during the fight and would make a good support to a close-range melee character like Yukina… if only she does not interrupt as much. He is voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya (Attack on Titan’s Reiner Braun)
They will be the second set of new additions to the game following The Irregular At Magic High School’s Miyuki and Toradora’s Taiga.
