Thanks to its worldwide popularity, the upcoming Sword Art Online II anime has now become a global event as it will not only be streamed all over the world, but its premiere episode will be screened in several theaters all across the globe. To advertise this momentous global anime event, several Sword Art Online II buses will be appearing win 7 countries around the world.
These buses will be covered in a Sword Art Online II theme and will go around their designated cities to advertise the anime. The buses will be seen in the following cities in the following dates:
Japan (Tokyo and Osaka): June 29 – July 5, 2014
Germany (Munich): June 14-15, 2014
United States (Los Angeles): July 3-6, 2014 (Around the Anime Expo location)
France (Paris): July 2-6, 2014 (Around the Japan Expo location)
Taiwan (Taipei): June 16 – July 15, 2014
Hong Kong: June 26 – July 9, 2014
South Korea (Seoul): June 30, 2014
They also announced that a new smart phone app will be released and it will be called Sword Art Quest II. The new app will be launched on June 23, 2014 and it will be the sequel to the SAO browser game known as Sword Art Quest.
The anime is scheduled to premiere July 5, 2014 as and will undoubtedly be Summer 2014′s most hyped anime. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will reprise his role as Kazuto Kirigaya/ Kirito, while Miyuki Sawashiro will be the voice of Shino/ Sinon. Sawashiro voiced Sinon in Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment as well as the 1st SAO game, Infinity Moment.
Special screening for the premiere episode will be done in seven countries. The Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California will host a premiere event with SAO creator Reki Kawahara as the special guest on July 4, 2014 while it will be shown during the Japan Expo 2014 in Germany on the same date. It will also have premiere events in Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, and France.
