Japan is known for its top-notch video game industry which has given us so many unforgettable classics like Mario, Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Dragon Quest, Street Fighter, Tekken, and Devil May Cry among others. Gamers from all over the world recognize their companies which have made large contributions to the video game industry and helped define its rich history.
Japanese website for students, MyNavi Student, has recently polled its readers on which Japanese video game company is their favorite. Among the 73 students whose votes were valid, here are MyNavi Student’s Top 11 Video Game Companies:

In a landslide victory, Nintendo takes the top spot with their many unforgettable classics which have touched many people’s childhoods. Many Japanese have grown up knowing Mario, Pikachu, Link, and many others, and its likely top continue in many years to come.
#2 ranked Square Enix on the other hand has shown its appeal to students thanks to their big names like Final Fantasy VII which defined the JRPG genre and Dragon Quest which blazed the trail for many JRPGs.
Capcom with its huge range of classics from Megaman and Street Fighter to Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, takes the #3 spot which many who took the survey say that its well deserved.
