The TBS ranking show unveiled Japan’s most popular cosplay costume and it is none other than the Otonokizaka High School uniform from Love Live! which is regularly featured as it is often worn by the anime’s main characters. The anime has proven to be extremely popular among female cosplayers and surprisingly, male cosplayers as well.

Browser game Kantai Collection meanwhile takes the #2 and the #3 spots consecutively with two of the video game’s most popular characters, Kongou and Shimakaze taking them respectively. This just cements the series’ overall popularity among cosplayers and fans. In fact, in Comiket 86, one of Japan’s most important otaku events, Kantai Collection was the most cosplayed series during the event.

And of course, Hatsune Miku is just as popular as ever as her costume takes the #4 spot while the school uniform the lovable Chuunibyous wear every time takes the #5 spot.
