With the live-action Attack on Titan movies premiering this year, a new tie-in series will be made from that live-action show, and it will be focusing on the character being played by Satomi Ishihara, Hanji Zoe.
Ishihara, who drew flak from fans as she is seen in her visual holding a rocket launcher, will be the lead star and reprising her role, but she ain’t the only one confirmed to return as Nanami Sakuraba is slated to return as the lovable “potato girl”, Sasha Braus. Also reprising their roles from the movies are Rina Takeda as Lil Ayame, Misaki as Hiana, abd Shu Watanabe as Fukushi.
The movie’s director, Shinji Higuchi, will also direct the show, which is slated to premiere in August and will be streamed via Docomo’s dTV streaming service. It will feature a brand new story and will follow the daily lives of the soldiers in humanity’s struggle against the titans.
The live-action movies meanwhile will be split into two parts, with the first part opening in July and the second part in August. Hajime isayama, the creator of Attack on Titan himself, is supervising the movie.
