The new Death Note drama series will air every Sunday in NTV starting this July 2015, and it will feature a new story with a completely different cast. This means that the story of this new TV drama will be something new and different as compared to the 2000’s live-action movies which was as loved by the fans as compared to the anime or the manga.

According to Cinema Today, this new cast, as well as the staff for the new drama, will be announced in a later date.

A live-action Death Note stage musical is also currently being played in Japan and will also be hitting South Korea in August. More announcements on this new drama, such as the staff and the cast will be made in the days to come
