After a few months of teasing, we finally have an idea of when Kenjiro Hata’s popular and long-running 4th wall-breaking gag manga, Hayate the Combat Butler, is finally ending. According to Weekly Shounen Sunday Magazine’s 15th issue, the manga will be ending in six more chapters.
The manga is one of Shounen Sunday’s longest running manga, and has tickled the hearts of fans since 2004. Kenjirou Hata’s long-running harem manga has enjoyed over a decade of success, getting TV anime adaptations in 2007, 2009, 2012, and 2013, as well as an anime film, and an OVA series. It is a feat that is very difficult to achieve in the cut-throat manga industry, which is known for the high level of competition, as several manga series abruptly end on less than 10 chapters. It is regarded as one of the most successful titles in Weekly Shounen Sunday, and that is speaking a lot.
Now, what is your favorite Hayate the Combat Butler moment?
