Corporal Levi of the Survey Corps is not going away anytime soon, as the visual novel bundled in Attack on Titan‘s 3rd Blu-ray release gives a hint of what we can expect during his shoujo manga debut.
After last month’s announcement that Corporal Levi would be getting his own shoujo manga connected to the ministory “A Choice with No Regrets,” fans of the show are finally getting a hint at what we’ll be getting in the prequel manga. Written by Nitroplus’s Gan Sunaaku it reveals just why it was that Levi joined the Survey Corps, and unlike Eren it wasn’t to destroy all Titans.
Instead of intense titan-fighting action it features Levi and Irvin in the rain, Irvin asking “Do you plan on killing me Levi?”
Levi’s answer is “Yea, the reason I chose to join the Survey Corps was…..”
With the appropriate amount of suspense from the series and the long pause, we finally find out the reason: “To kill you Irvin.”
With that out of the way, we now know the path that Sunaaku plans on taking for the spin-off manga A Choice with No Regrets Prologue. Not only we will find out how Levi decided joining the Survey Corps was the best way to do this, but also why he has a grudge against Irvin, who he seems close with as of episode 22 of the anime. That means, sadly, probably less titans and more drama. But that also means more angry Levi, probably the only expression he’s ever made.
