At last week’s press conference for the Japanese market, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia (SCEJA) introduced a new piece of hardware in the PlayStation family: the PS Vita TV, that will play non-touchscreen PS Vita games, as well as all your favourite downloadable titles from PSN – when connected to any regular TV or computer monitor.
Although the PS Vita TV will first launch in Japan on November 14, 2013, SCEJA has revealed at its pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference for Asia today that gamers in the region will be able to purchase the new console in their respective countries in January 2014.
Price details for the Asian launch of PS Vita TV has not yet been announced.
