Aya Hirano returns as Haruhi and announces that "The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato-chan" will premiere in Spring 2015

The ever-so controversial voice actress, Aya Hirano, is finally returning to the role she became famous for, as Haruhi Suzumiya, however, it will be for the spin-off of the Haruhi Suzumiya series, which is the Disappearance of Yuki Nagato-chan which was announced last year in a very mysterious fashion.

The voice actress and singer, whose anime roles include Fairy Tail’s Lucy Heartfilia, Lucky Star’s Konata, and Parasyte’s Migi, has recently taken to twitter and made a very bold announcement as she tweeted that The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato-chan will premiere be broadcast starting Spring 2015, which may mean that the anime will be making its premiere in April.

Well there you have it, right from the mouth of the goddess, Haruhi Suzumiya herself. However, there still has been no official confirmation yet that the anime will really be airing in Spring, however, granted that the one who made the announcement is Haruhi herself, we can pretty much count on her words.

The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato-chan is an official spin-off manga based on the popular Haruhi Suzumiya light novel series by Nagaru Tanigawa. It is written and drawn by manga artist Puyo and focuses on the alternate universe made during “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” which was also adapted into a feature-length anime movie.

The Nagato in this new series is quite unlike the poker-faced kuudere (emotionless girl) you usually see in the anime. Instead of the usual emotionless bookworm, this spin-off Nagato is presented as the shy and bashful one previously seen in the movie.
