The 65th NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen is truly shaping up to be the New Year’s spectacle as NHK’s official website has now revealed the song line-up for Japan’s most watched annual music program, and it features another duet between renowned voice actress, Nana Mizuki, and one of Japan’s biggest music stars, T.M. Revolution.
The New Year Kouhaku Uta Gassen, or Red and White Song Battle, has been a New Year’s tradition in Japan, and during last year’s program, both artistes performed another duet, which is a medley of the two OP songs for the mecha anime, Valvrave the Liberator, which are Preserved Roses (OP 1) and Kakumei Dualism (OP 2) which they both performed.
Being part of the teams for Kouhaku is considered a huge honor as artistes are only included to the show by invitation. This year’s acts are considered “Top of the Brass”, which include voice actress Nana Mizuki who will be appearing for the sixth strait time, and T.M. Revolution, who will be marking his fifth appearance in the show. AKB48 will be appearing for only the seventh time while Japanese music industry legend, Hiroshi Itsuki, will be appearing for the 44th time.
