SKE48 member Rena Matsui‘s Kill la Kill-inspired election poster featuring her as Ryuko Matoi has certainly gained a lot of attention among fans of the series, however, it seems like there is not just one, but two photos of her as Ryuko. The second image however was deemed not good enough to make the cut.
Yeah, this photo was “not good enough”. Still looks awesome though. Looks like she is certainly serious with her campaign for the 6th AKB48 Senbatsu General Elections. I wonder what will happen if she releases a cosplay photo of herself in Senketsu’s Kamui Mode? Looks like her Kill la Kill-themed campaign even has the support of the studio which produced the anime. Studio Trigger’s very own character designer, Sushio doing the outlines for her posters (both the official one and the rejected version), while Kazuki Nakajima made her catchphrase “I’m tired of looking up.” ANSWR meanwhile did the photography for the photos.
Matsui had a hard time choosing which photo to use in her campaign poster and her choice went right down to the eleventh hour. here’s the one she chose:
All membersof AKB48, SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48 are eligible to run in the 6th General elections which will be held over at the Ajinomoto Stadium on June 7, 2014.
