Who is the best mom in all the Gundam series? Gundam.info finds out

Mothers often play vital roles in many of the Gundam series and official Gundam franchise website, Gundam.info celebrated them by asking fans who do they think is the best mom in all of the Gundam timelines. They asked the question last Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014 and now, the results are finally up.

With a total of 3,838 votes, here are Gundam.info’s “most impressive Gundam mom”:

7) Hilda Bidan (Kamille Bidan’s mother, Mobile Suit Gundam Zeta)

3.60% of the votes

6) Marina Asuno (Flit Asuno’s mother, Mobile Suit Gundam AGE)

4.46% of the votes

5) Kamaria Ray (Amuro Ray’s mother, Mobile Suit Gundam)

6.2% of the votes

4) Monica Arno (Seabook Arno’s mother, Mobile Suit Gundam F-91)

7.92% of the votes

3) Muller Miguel (Uso Erwin’s mother, Mobile Suit Gundam Victory)

8.52% of the votes

2) Mirai Noa/ Mirai Yashima (Wife of Bright Noa, mother of Hathaway Noa, Mobile Suit Gundam/ Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counter Attack)

1) Rinko Iori (Sei Iori’s mother, Gundam Build Fighters)

53.84% of the votes

With an overwhelming 53.84% of the votes, Sei’s mom, Rinko takes the #1 spot in this official Gundam ranking. Saying that her victory is not surprising at all may be an understatement for some people as Rinko herself was one of the main reasons Gundam Build Fighters was so successful as many have admitted that they watched the series because of “The main character’s hot mom”. But Rinko’s popularity aside, she is one of the most supportive moms in all the Gundam series as she gives timely advice and lots of love to her son, Sei.

#2 on Gundam.info’s official ranking is Mirai who first appeared in the original 1979 classic. She may have shown brilliance in strategy during her stint as future husband Bright Noa’s right hand in Mobile Suit Gundam. She acted as a surrogate mother for the three orphans of the series before finally becoming a real one.
