Weekly Shonen Jump has announced that sci-fi action manga World Trigger by Daisuke Ashihara is getting an anime adaptation.
The story is set in a futuristic world where humans are under the protection of a defense agency from aliens called “Neighbors”. An agent by the name of Osamu, together with his humanoid Neighbor friend Yuma utilise other-dimensional weapons to prevent further invasion.
A vomic (voice comic) of the series is currently being streamed online by Shueisha featuring the following voice cast:
- Junko Minagawa as Yuma Kuga
- Ryota Osaka as Osamu Mikumo
- Yuichi Iguchi as Replica
- Toshiki Masuda as Yuichi Jin
