17-year old Taichi and Agumon sure do look different for Digimon Adventure Tri

Shueisha’s V-Jump magazine has unveiled a new visual for one of the most highly anticipated anime series this year, Digimon Adventure Tri.

The new look is evident not only because Taichi is older in this new anime (now aged 17), but because of a new art style which will be introduced by character designer, Atsuya Uki. With this new art style, Agumon looks quite different as well.

The issue also unveiled how the new Digimon crests and tags (called emblems in the Japanese version) will look like. The tags were originally teased by the Premium Bandai official website.

The anime is part of Digimon’s 15th anniversary celebrations.
