During the screening event for the third episode of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled titled Kagayaku Mono Ten Yori Otsu, Sunrise producer Yoshitaka Kawaguchi has announced that the mecha series based on the Code Geass universe will not be ending in episode 4 as previously planned, because he has announced that Code Geass: Akito the Exiled will be having a fifth and final episode.
According to the announcement, episode 4’s scripts has been re-written to make way for the new finale, which will be in episode 5, which is titled “Itoshiki Mono-tachi e”. Meanwhile, even if its script has now been re-written, episode 4, titled “Nikushimi no Kioku Kara”, will still be making its premiere this July 4, 2015. Because of the re-write, they will also be re-dubbing episode 4.
Itoshiki Mono-tachi e is scheduled for release this Autumn 2015 and more announcements about this new final episode will be made in days to come.
