While Bandai was busy over at Belle Salle Akihabara with their Tamashii Summer Collection 2015 event, the other big-name figure makers such as Kotobukiya, Megahouse, and Alter, were also in a big figure event of their own last weekend with the spring edition of the MegaHobby Expo 2015, which is held at the AKIBA SQUARE, which is quite near where Bandai is doing their figure event.
Let’s begin with the event’s organizers, Megahouse, which showcased some of their best figures from their Excellent Model series as well as their Sekai Seifuki series. Plenty of anime were represented, from their new One Piece figures to Sailor Moon and also Digimon Adventure. There were also frigures from newer anime like Food Wars: Shokugeki no Souma. Megahouse also showed that they ain’t just about figures as they are also good with PlaMo.
And speaking of Digimon, they even have Agumon along with a Taichi cosplayer and other great exhibits!
For Alter and Kotobukiya, turn to page 2
The Kotobukiya booth meanwhile was highlighted by none other than Spring 2015’s breakout character, Hestia, from Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?. Kotobukiya also featured several other upcoming and released figures from Nisekoi, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, Fate/ Stay Night, Black Butler, and many more
Just like Kotobukiya and Megahouse, Alter also showcased a fine mix of figures and plastic models, and featured series like Strike Witches, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, To Love-Ru Darkness, and many more
Oh the wallet bleeding! Make it stop!
