Love will always have complications, including fans who would want to break up an official couple who are clearly happily in love. For this week’s poll by the Japanese anime character database known as Charapedia, they asked 10,000 anime fans which anime couple do they want to see go splitsville… immediately.
Of these 10,000 fans who voted, 53.6% were male while 46.6% were female, and all of them voted for one specific anime couple they want to have a break up.The poll also featured other official anime couples, however, Charapedia only revealed the top 10. Here are the results:
10) Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuuga (Naruto)
9) Makoto Itou and Sekai Saionji (School Days)
8) Shinichirou Nakagami and Hiromi Yuasa (True Tears)
7) Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne (Gundam SEED)
6) Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno (Naruto)
5) Raku Ichijou and Chitoge Kirisaki
4) Makoto Ito and Kotonoha Katsura
3) Yocchi and Micchii (Crayon Shin-chan)
2) Kirito and Asuna (Sword Art Online)
1) Shinichi Kudo and Ran Mouri
While it is true that many fans ship the top 2, it seems that there are also many fans who want to see them break up, as this poll shows. Maybe some fans feel that they are not really meant for each other, or maybe they feel that somehow, they want the other girls to win. There are a variety of reasons.
And it also seems that some people are not really happy with who ended up with who over at the Narutoverse as both NaruHina and SasuSaku get voted into the top 10. As for School Days, which also gets two entries, both of which only feature Makoto, it’s understandable. Well, I guess we got to see them break up… sort of.
