Strike Witches fans rejoice! Because during a special theater screening event for the third Strike Witches OVA titled Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow part 3: Arnhem no Hashi, it was reportedly announced that there will be a new TV anime from the franchise, and it will feature the witches of the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing, also known as the Brave Witches.
The Brave Witches, also known as the “Breaker Witches” for their penchant for destruction, namely breaking stuff, especially their striker units, are based in Orussia (Russia) and are part of the Eastern front to counter the Neuroi threat. They are made up of:
Gundula Rall from Karlsland
Aleksandra I. Pokryshkin from Orussia
Waltrud Krupinski from Karlsland
Edytha Rossmann from Karlsland
Naoue Kanno from Fuso
Sadako Shinohara from Fuso
Nikka Edvardine Katajainen from Soumus
Georgette Lemare from Gallia
There is no word on whether the titular Strike Witches, officially known as the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, will be the main focus of this new anime, however, two of its members, Orrussia’s Sanya V. Litvyak and Soumus’s Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen, are being teased to also be part of this new anime as the 502nd is based in Orussia, which is where Sanya is from, and knowing her, Eila is very likely to follow.
It is also unclear whether it is a spin-off or a direct sequel to the second season of Strike Witches as not much information has been made so far, so stay tuned for further announcements
