Pokemon Sun and Moon pokes fun at IGN"s "Too Much Water" review for Pokemon ORAS

Remember when IGN reviewed Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and said that the game had “Too Much Water”? That review sparked a ton of memes and proved that IGN may have been aligned with Team Magma. That review happened back in 2014, however, it seems that Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about it.

Pokemon has been known to embrace the memes it has gotten through the years, and they have applied IGN’s infamous “7.8/10, too much water” review to their new Poke Finder feature. This new feature works like Pokemon Snap, where trainers can upload and share the photos they have taken of the Pokemon they’ve met through their journeys. These photos are then rated, and other trainers can choose from a variety of comments to “review” that photo. Apparently,  IGN’s infamous “7.8/10, too much water” review is one of them.

Though it seems like Nintendo is taking it as a good thing… It should also be noted that Sun and Moon is based on the Alola region, which has even more water than Hoenn. Oh, and there are no more HMs.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon will both be released on November 18, 2016 for the Nintendo 3DS. This will be for both Japan and North America, as the European release will be on November 23, 2016.
