With all the rumors floating around regarding the 4th installment of the Marvel vs. Capcom crossover fighting game, gaming news website Polygon has reported that their sources have told them that Marvel vs. Capcom 4 is now ” currently in development and slated for release sometime in 2017.”
The site also reported that the game will be officially revealed during Sony’s PlayStation Experience event later this week, which is also where the Capcom Cup 2016 Street Fighter 5 tournament will be held.
They also said that fans should expect MVC4 to “draw strongly from the cinematic universe that Marvel Studios has popularized — and has full control over — during the past decade.” This means that we should expect more Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy and less X-Men and Fantastic 4… sorry Wolverine fans.
