Just one more day before heavy metal idol group Babymetal takes the stage at *SCAPE The Ground Theatre here in Singapore!
Earlier today, SGCafe caught up with the Babymetal girls right on the eve of their first overseas solo concert — but we’re still in the process of transcribing the interview (don’t worry, folks, we’ll get it to you in time for tomorrow’s concert, so stay tuned for that).
In the meantime, we thought we’d just share with you a quick video message that we got Babymetal to record for their fans here:
Babymetal Live in Singapore will take place tomorrow at *SCAPE The Ground Theatre (2 Orchard Boulevard, #02-01, *SCAPE Mall S237978). The show will begin at 5.30PM; doors to open at 5PM.
If you’ve yet to get your tickets to see Babymetal perform live, you can purchase them tomorrow from 12PM onwards directly at *SCAPE The Ground Theatre ticketing counters.
Don’t miss this opportunity to catch Babymetal live in Singapore — the full solo concert experience is quite different, and a whole lot more elaborate than their past appearances at AFA.
To find out more, head over to the official Babymetal Live in Singapore website.
About Babymetal
Formed in 2010, Babymetal — comprising 16-year-old lead vocalist Su-Metal (formerly a member of the unit Karen Girl’s, who performed the OP to Zettai Karen Children), and 14-year-old screamers-slash-dancers Yui-Metal and Moa-Metal — have melted the hearts and faces of their fans all over the world with their unique brand of music: a hardy dose of heavy metal, mixed in with the saccharine sweetness of idol pop music.
The result? A plethora of vibrant musical styles for their single releases. We’ve embedded both the music video and live versions of some of their hit singles below:

In 2012, the group became the youngest musical artistes to ever perform at Japan’s Summer Sonic rock festival.
Babymetal returned at Summer Sonic 2013, this time performing alongside metal legends such as Metallica and Linkin Park. Then, in October, the trio also shared the same stage as Trivium and Arch Enemy at the Loud Park Festival 2013.
On December 21 — this past weekend — Babymetal held its biggest solo concert in Japan thus far. And this weekend, they’re up for another big challenge in their young careers: Babymetal’s first overseas solo concert.
