Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will feature a game-exclusive character: Mecha Naruto

When Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution comes out for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles next year, it will not only feature over 100 playable characters from the entire Naruto manga and anime series, but also a brand new character: Mecha Naruto.

Mecha Naruto’s character design was done by series creator Masashi Kishimoto from the ground up, exclusively for the game, and the latest issue of Jump magazine has the first look on the character.

Story-wise, little is known about Mecha Naruto at the moment (who created him?), but as you can see from the Jump magazine scan above, Mecha Naruto will have three different forms — the default mode, and two awakened forms — both of which grants him increased attack power.

The first awakened form is Kyuubi mode, which resembles a mecha version of… well, Naruto in his Kyuubi mode – the psudo-human one with multiple Chakra tails sprouting from his behind.

Mecha Naruto Kyuubi mode can apparently achieve a deeper awakened state and turn into the character’s second awakened form — the Kyuubi mode (Mecha Kurama ver.), which looks like a cross between Kurama (Nine Tails) from the Naruto franchise, and — dare I say it? — Tekkaman.

When Mecha Naruto is in his Kyuubi mode (Mecha Kurama ver.), he will assume a giant form similar in size to that of the Nine Tails.

Naruto fans making their way down to the Jump Fiesta 2014 at the Makuhari Messe are in for a treat: the screenshot of Mecha Kurama that you see above is actually taken from the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution demo that will be playable at the event.

Although JF2014 event attendees will not be able to play as Mecha Naruto, they will be able to witness the awe of this brand new character by going head-to-head against him — as a stage boss.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution for the PS3 and X360 platforms is slated for a 2014 release.
