The Idolm@ster: One For All (PS3) slated for May 15, 2014 in Japan

A firm release date and pricing details for PS3 idol producing simulation game, The Idolm@ster: One For All, have been revealed in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine (which officially hits newsstands in Japan this Thursday).

According to an anonymous source who managed to snag a copy of Weekly Famitsu magazine early, The Idolm@ster: One For All will be released in Japan on May 15, 2014.

Two editions of the game will be available at retail.

The standard edition of the game will go for 7,600 yen, while a limited first-print edition — which has a special name, “765Pro New Producer Box”, to go with it — will be sold for 11,600 yen and contain the following items:

  • Main visual (office version) special box packaging

  • Special drama CD (Let’s visit 765Pro! Learn about what a top idol does! [working title])

  • Limited original design costume download code

  • A fictional for-trade-use-only pamphlet containing information on the 765Pro idols

  • 765Pro calendar (autographed by the idols)

  • Cleaning cloth

  • 13 bookmark-sized posters

All first-print editions of the game (standard and limited) will also come with Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls and Idolm@ster Million Live serial codes that will unlock bonus cards for use in those social games.

On top of the retail editions, the game will also be available digitally through PSN, priced at 7,600 yen. Gamers who purchase this digital copy will be able to launch The Idolm@ster: One For All directly from the Idolm@ster Channel PS3 app.

The Famitsu article also revealed that on top of allowing players to freely produce all 13 of the series’s headlining idols (in The Idolm@ster 2 for the PS3, you could only produce 9 of them), One For All will also allow players to observe and interact with the 13 idols at the 765Pro office.

The new feature thus offers a way for players to peer into the idols’ day-to-day activities at the office — resting on the couch, napping, engaging in leisure activities, performing administrative work, cleaning windows, drinking tea, etc — when they’re not out on location.
