People have been raving about the custom mecha designs (as well as Sei Iori’s mom, Rinko) from the hit Winter 2013 anime Gundam Build Fighters, and it looks like the series animators have noticed.
Since the anime started airing last October 2013, the animators working on the series have been posting on Twitter various sketches and doodles featuring the characters and of course, the all-important GunPla.
Key Animator Ryota Sakaguchi posted several of his sketches via his twitter account and he presents the characters as well as the mechas.
One of his sketch pieces actually has got cameo appearances, showing Madoka and Homura from Puella Magi Madoka Magica having some GunPla fun. Sakaguchi has provided Key Animation for Haganai, Gintama, Fairy Tail, Gundam Age and more.
Renowned anime director Masami Oobari who directed the mecha animation for episode 7 as well as the anime’s opening also presented his sketches via Twitter. As expected, the Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The Inspector director had an all mecha tweet fest.

Tetsuya Matsukawa, the character animation director for episodes 4 and 9 also gave his character sketches via his Twitter account.
Matsukawa has both directed the character animation as well as providing key animation for other Gundam anime series like Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Destiny, Gundam 00 and Gundam Age.
And last but not the least, Matsukawa presents the anime’s most surprisingly popular character, Sei Iori’s “hot mom”, Rinko Iori as Sailor Moon!
