A teaser of the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin live action movie titled Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Taika-hen or Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire has recently shown actor Tatsuta Fujiwara as the bandage-clad main villain, Makoto Shishio.
The image shows Fujiwara fully wrapped in Shishio’s signature bandaged look in order to hide is burnt body with bits of hair sticking out of his head. Shishio is the main villain of the Kyoto arc of the popular Rurouni Kenshin manga series by Nobuhiro Watsuki and is one of the most widely recognized manga and anime villains from Shounen Jump!
He will be clashing swords with Takeru Satoh who will be playing the hero, Kenshin Himura/ Battousai who was also featured in the teaser.
Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire will be the second Rurouni Kenshin live action movie and will be followed by Rurouni Kenshin: Densetsu no Saigo-hen or Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend. Both the second and third movies will be shown in 2014.
