ASCII Media Works recently held the Dengeki Bunko Winter Large Exhibition event and it has most certainly displayed their very best light novel series like the “A Certain” series, Shakugan no Shana, Sword Art Online, Strike the Blood, Golden Time, OreImo, Hataraku Maou-sama! and many more as well as a few cosplays and Dengeki Bunko merchandise.
The event was held yesterday, December 28, 2013 at the Belle Salle Akihabara and it also included various exhibits as well as an illustration contest. The event also displayed the 9m illustration by Kino’s Journey illustrator Kouhaku Kuroboshi which was unveiled during the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2013.
The second floor also held several illustrations from many famous Dengeki Bunko titles like Sword Art Online, Spice & Wolf, Ro Kyu Bu, Baccano!, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere and many more. The exhibit was divided into many different themes, the most notable of which is the “Winter Theme”. Each exhibit also displayed a short story written by the respective authors of each series.
Also displayed were several light novel illustrations as well as several issues Dengeki Magazine.
The event also had a Japanese hot spring or onsen on display with several Dengeki Bunko girls bathing… and an unlucky Touma Kamijou from A Certain Magical Index.
The exhibit also included several illustrations drawn and autographed by various artists
Finally, a large chocolate mosaic featuring Kino from Kino’s Journey is also on display. The mosaic is made of milk chocolate, white chocolate and dark chocolate.
