Free! Eternal Summer: New character, PV and official website revealed [video]

It has been revealed in a new PV shown at the Akihabara UDX Vision screen that the second season of the abtacular swimming anime, Free!, will be titled Free! Eternal Summer. As the PV was shown live to the Akihabara crowd, several people took pictures and videos of it. Here’s one of the videos:

An official website for the upcoming new season has also been opened and it reveals the anime’s staff, cast, past PV’s, several Free! merchandise (which are not gonna be free by the way). It also reveals a new artwork revealing the anime’s five main characters, Haruka Nanase, Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki, Rei Ryuugasaki, and Rin Matsuoka.

The website also reveals a new character named Sosuke Yamazaki who will be voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya who is known for voicing Attack on Titan’s Reiner Braun and Chihayafuru’s Arata Wataya. Sosuke Yamazaki is revealed to be a childhood friend of Rin Matsuoka and knows him since grade school. He is a good person who can understand Rin and is known to be a strong swimmer.

The PV also confirms that the anime will premiere in July as part of the 2014 Summer Anime Season. This confirmation fulfills the promise which was made in the first season which endedwith the message “See you next summer!”

The anime has been known for many female-oriented fan service, fast-paced and exciting swimming pool battles and of course, abs, lots of them.
