Good Smile Company‘s resident blogger, Kahotan, has finally announced the eight finalists for their Snow Miku 2015 design contest, four designs for Snow Miku and four designs for her pet, Yukine.
For the new Snow Miku and Yukine, GSC and Piapro are going one with nature with this year’s theme which is all about the plants which grow in Hokkaido during winter. Here are the four design finalists for Snow Miku 2015.
Finalist #1: Snowmiku by Kise
Her hair ornaments are made to look like the Japanese Rowan tree. Overall her outfit is based on a ‘dairy’-look, which is what came to mind when I thought about Hokkaido, creating a bit of a ‘country’-themed outfit.
Finalist #2: ~Snow Miku 2: ~snow-in-summer~ by Imoko Chuko
This Miku is based on the ‘snow-in-summer’ flower.
Finalist #3: Winter Bell by Anmitsu
A Miku based on the image of a ‘Lily of the Valley Fairy’. Her hair ornaments and crown both make use of the flower. She has wings with snow flake patterns on her back.
Finalist #4: Snow Miku 2015 by Taran
Lily of the Valley hair accessories and a snow-drop skirt. Her headset is made to look like white birch flowers. The ribbons all over the outfit are from a Japanese rowan tree. A slightly childish looking outfit.
Here are the four finalists for Rabbit Yukine’s 2015 design:
Finalist #1: 2015 Rabbit Yukine by Daida
Rabbit Yukine with a strawberry and cherry theme.
Finalist #2: Gentle Yukine by Magu
A gentleman to walk beside the beautiful Miku! His rather fake looking beard is his best feature!
Finalist #3: Lily of the Valley Yukine by Hayuki
A warm set of colors to warm up the Winter.
Finalist #4: Flower Lace Yukine by Yuna
The pattern on her ears is a flower pattern.
The fans have the power which designs will become the official Snow Miku 2015 and Rabbit Yukine. Voting begins today, May 16, 2014 during the Hatsune Miku no Jikan (6th Period) which will be broadcast live via Niconico from 19:00- 21:00 Japan time.
