It has been more than 12 years since Nobuhiro Watsuki’s samurai manga, Rurouni Kenshin, ended, but thanks to its live action adaptations, it has been revealed that fans want more, and thankfully, they are getting it.
The June 2014 issue of Shueisha’s Monthly Jump Square magazine, which has just been released today, May 2, 2014, has announced that Nobuhiro Watsuki will be writing a new one-shot manga which will be published on Jump Square’s August 2014 issue.
This new One Shot will be focusing on the villain Makoto Shishio which will surely spell a lot of trouble for our cross-scarred hero.
Speaking of the series, a new trailer for the two live-action sequels, Kyoto Inferno and The Legend Ends, has just been released.
Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Taika-hen (Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire) will premiere on August 1, 2014 while Rurouni Kenshin: Densetsu no Saigo-hen (Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend) will hit Japanese theaters on September 13, 2014.
