10 Hatsune Miku buses started making their rounds in Singapore yesterday, October 3, 2014, and gave the Lion City a taste of some Miku magic as well as some of the sights from Hokkaido.
The Hatsune Miku buses aim to promote tourism in Hokkaido, Japan, just like the Hatsune Miku trains which were featured in Bangkok, Thailand last year. Bus lines 2, 196, 111, 174, 186, 502, 107, 175, 36, and 130 will be running ten times a day and they will feature artworks by Kei with Miku on one side, and Snow Miku 2015 on the other.
The buses will be in service only until December 25, 2014 and will advertise various Hokkaido specialties and cuisine. Several images of the buses have already been released.
Have you ridden any these buses yet? How did it feel? Well for one thing, I’d say they are a whole lot better than her rendition of Nikki Minaj’s Anaconda.
