Japan is certainly stepping up its anti-piracy campaign, and it is proven just recently as a man selling US dollar bills featuring One Piece characters online has been arrested for copyright infringement.

45-year old Tomoaki Tanahashi was arrested in the town of Misaki, Okayama Prefecture by the local police for allegedly selling One Piece dollar bills. They found a total of 448 dollar bills, which not only included ones featuring One Piece characters, but also characters from Disney’s Frozen.

He allegedly sold these bills for 1,500 yen over the period of March to August 2014 and has already sold at least four. Selling items such as these without the prior consent of the owners of the copyright, in this case Shueisha for One Piece and Walt Disney for Frozen, is illegal in Japan.
