Square Enix video game designer Tetsuya Nomura is best known for his works with Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, and now, the renowned video game icon will be handling Hatsune Miku as well, as a collaboration between the virtual diva and Square Enix was announced.
A new artwork announces the collaboration in New York and it truly seems like Miku has joined the world of Final Fantasy. More announcements of this new collaboration will be announced in the future. The Tetsuya Nomura Miku artwork in New York also has something to do with the upcoming Miku Expo in the Big Apple from October 17 – 18, 2014. It also advertises the Hatsune Miku art exhibition from October 9 – 19, 2014 known as “Universal Positivity @ Wallplay”
Reactions to the artwork were quite mixed with some praising it and said that the Final Fantasy feel is beautiful while others stated that it was gross and creepy.
Speaking of Miku’s New York invasion, she will also do a historic live performance over at the CBS Studios in her US TV debut in the Emmy Award-winning Late Show with David Letterman later today.
