Several mangas have induced tears in many readers, but which one has made them cry the most? Women’s website, MyNavi Woman, has asked its readers which manga series has made them burst into tears the most while reading and revealed their Top 4 as well as several other mangas which have made women cry.

3/4) Baby and Me (Aka-chan to Boku): 6.1%

Surprisingly, the Top 2 spots in this ranking for women are two shounen mangas, both of which have certainly induced tears to many readers both male and female. #1 ranked One Piece is quite known for its emotionally-charged scenes which can get your eyes wet at any second, like Ace’s death and the sinking of the Going Merry. #2 ranked Slam Dunk may have touched the hearts of the poll’s female respondents with the trials and tribulations of Shohoku’s basketball team which experienced a lot of highs and lows, wins and defeats.

Tying for third are Baby and Me and Doraemon, the latter being a surprise in the rankings as the manga is more known to induce laughter rather than tears, however, that does not mean that the series lacks any emotional moments.

Also mentioned in the results were several other series, however, MyNavi Woman did not mention their exact rankings other than the fact that they also brought a few female readers to tears and they are Parasyte, Alice Academy, Tokimeki Tonight, Lemming no Yukue, The Rose of Versailles, Gokinjo Monogatari, NANA, Major, Cheeky Angel, I Give My First Love to You, and Your Hands have Whispered.

Which manga made you cry?
