Asuna, Nami, Mikasa, and more join the fight against anime piracy as Manga Anime Guardians hits 1 million members

After just a few days, the Japanese anti-anime and manga piracy campaign known as Manga Anime Guardians or M.A.G. for short, has already gotten more than a million members. The campaign initially released an image of Kirito, Luffy, Naruto, Conan Edogawa, and Eren Yeager, and now, with its 1 million member quota reached, it has now completed the artwork with 15 more beloved anime characters.

The new members however are also from the 5 series which were featured in the initial artwork, which are Attack on Titan, Detective Conan (Case Closed!), Naruto, One Piece, and Sword Art Online. The new members of this anti-piracy artwork are Nami, Kakashi, Ai Haibara, Asuna, Levi, Zoro, Sasuke, Ran Mori, Leafa, Armin, Chopper, Sakura, Kaito Kid, Sinon, and Mikasa Ackerman.

The artwork was done by famous animators who have greatly contributed to their respective anime series. The character animation is made by Detective Conan’s Masatomo Sudo, Attack on Titan’s Kyoji Asano and Ayumi Yamada, One Piece’s Kenji Yokoyama and Kazuya Hisada, Sword Art Online’s Shingo Adachi, and Naruto’s Hiromi Yoshinuma. The artwork is a collaboration between Toei Animation, TMS Entertainment, WIT STUDIO, Studio Pierrot, and A-1 Pictures, which made these five anime series.

However, thse five anime and studios aren’t the only ones who are part of this anti-piracy campaign as it also involves manga publishers such as Shueisha and Kodansha, as well as figure makers such as Good Smile Company, which are also suffering greatly from piracy. Other series which have joined the fight against anime and manga piracy include Love Live!, Mysterious Girlfriend X, Soul Eater, Inu X Boku SS, Cardfight Vanguard, Toriko, Sailor Moon, Survival Game Club, Dragon Ball, and many more.
