Everyone’s favorite virtual diva is back on television, though she isn’t bringing CUL along this time.
Hikari Television, responsible for airing Attack on Titan, Gintama and Space Brothers, will be tackling this newest show to hit the airwaves. Unlike other shows, the Hatsune Miku First Crowning Show will be formatted so that it runs similar to a musical, and is encouraging fans to participate with the Miku Miku Make Miku project. This will be accomplished by showing off the collaborative work of animators, programmers, and video editors.
Of course, before those entries start coming in, they’ll be focusing on the original works of several VOCALOID producers. It hasn’t been decided which producer will be working with the series, but creators will have access to the model data for a Hikari TV edition of Miku. Once the program starts, those who visit the website will also have access to it for free along with the creator’s own works.
For those interested in participating in the program, the registration part of the site will open on August 2 at 23:00 JST. An entrance fee of 105 yen will be charged, while monthly access to the creator’s part of the site will be 305 yen.
Hatsune Miku continues to shine throughout Japan, and is now taking another step towards ultimate fame.
