Jonathan Joestar and Joseph Joestar, the Part 1 and Part 2 protagonists (respectively) of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Meisuke Nueno from Hell Teacher Nube will be playable characters in Namco Bandai Games’s PS3 and PS Vita cross-over fighting title J-Stars Victory VS, a leaked scan of next week’s Shounen Jump magazine has revealed.

Apart from announcing the three characters, the upcoming issue, which officially hits newsstands in Japan on Monday, also shared first details on three other aspects of the game: its pre-order bonus, a promotional PS Vita augmented reality app, and the game’s theme song.

Gamers in Japan who pre-order a copy of J-Stars Victory VS can expect to receive a bonus art booklet — the “J-Stars Victory Book” — containing visual artwork and background data on the Jump heroes featured in the game.

The second item on this list is a free-to-download PS Vita app that will allow fans to view their favourite Jump Heroes in 3D via augmented reality technology. According to the text in the article, the app is “currently being distributed” — which could mean that gamers with a Japanese PSN account might be able to download the app sometime between now and next Monday, when the new issue of Weekly Shonen Jump hits.

Last but not least, the new issue also revealed that J-Stars Victory VS’s theme song, which is entitled Fighting Stars, will be performed by three legends in the anisong world, all of whom have previously sang theme songs to blockbuster Shonen Jump anime properties: Hironobu Kageyama (Dragon Ball Z), Akira Kushida (Kinnikuman), and Hiroshi Kitadani (1st and 15th OP themes for One Piece).

The new issue of Shonen Jump also teased that more details and announcements for J-Stars Victory VS will be revealed in the February 2014 edition of V-Jump magazine, which goes on sale in Japan December 21.

J-Stars Victory VS for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms is scheduled for release in Japan on March 19. 2014.
