Ads and posters from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure have been plastered all over Shibuya JR station and each ad contains artwork drawn by JoJo manga artist (mangaka) Hirohiko Araki himself.
The ads and posters were made to celebrate Araki’s new manga box sets known as JoJonium, which started publication last December 4, 2013. The new box sets are basically digitally coloured omnibus compilations of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure mangas with the first set covering parts 1-3. These new ads can now be seen starting today, December 8, 2013.
The JoJonium ads are inspired by the periodic table of elements and feature the JoJo characters as chemical symbols like Bruford who gets the elemental symbol Br which usually stands for the element bromine
Dio Brando meanwhile is presented with the chemical symbol Di which usually stands for the rare earth metal didymium.
A Jojo periodic table of elements was also spotted in Shibuya Station. Can you guess them all and what substances they represent?
A total of 127 pieces have been released along the Yamanote line. Here are some of them.
A total of 17 volumes will be released for the JoJonium sets and will cover the entire series. Volumes 1 and 2 have already been released with volume 3′s release looming in the horizon.
